Our newest Etsy listing is an antique brass microscope – unmarked but appears to be from about 1910. It comes with a wooden box and some interesting ephemera. Included are a lens cleaning cloth from Anderson & Anderson Opticians and a clipping with fabulous “Turn of the Century” typography, which reads Hellige Hardax Glass. Hellige Hardax made microscope slides.
This microscope appears to be student model and works, the lenses are not cracked, and the mirror reflects light. It fits beautifully into a wooden box with little brass catches.
We’re asking $115.00 US for this antique scientific instrument. The microscope is 8 1/2″ tall and 3 1/2″ wide. The box is 9 1/2″ tall and 4 1/4″ long x 3 1/2″ wide.
